Re: Freeway Dually questions
I have a shortbed dually as a daily driver and love it!! Tows the Sonic no problem. Believe it or not the dually spins the rear tires easier than a SRW. Rain, snow, and on the ramp, you have to get 4X4. You won't have any problems on sand, just go easy on the peddle.
P.S. my Ford 6.0 deisel with a 115 hp chip does 14.5 in the 1/4 mile!!!!! |

Okay Pure Energy what are you trying to do to me!!! Your Sonic can eat mine for lunch, and so does your truck! <gg>

Re: Freeway Dually questions
I would like to add a question about dually's
How are they in the winter? I have thought about one, but it would be a daily driver due to cost Also a deisel but am worried about big snows here in Minnesnowta |
Re: Freeway Dually questions
Dually trucks are just that: TRUCKS. You should buy a mini-van. Please don't buy a "dually" you could be a hazard to all of us on the road.
Give me a frikking break. 1. Freeway: Are you a truck? Meaning SEMI (18 wheeler for you girly men) No you are not. You are a dually. Not a TRUCK, just a pickup with 6 wheels. 2. Commercial means "For hire" as in YOU CHARGE people to tow. I don't think you would ever fit this categrory. 3. Buy a 4wd (4 wheel drive for those of you male hormone impaired) |

Re: Freeway Dually questions
1st year Duramax had injector problems. My friend had his fixed 2 times. Try to stay away from the 1st year of any engine. Ford, Chevy, or Dodge diesels. I think they are all pretty damm good now.

Re: Freeway Dually questions
2WD Dually sucks on a boat ramp. Go with the 4x4 for sure. I drive a Chevy 3500 4 door Dually 4x4 Duramax as a daily driver. Just like driving a regular pick up once you get used to it.....well except for the bank. As for sand, I would think the 4X4 should work ok without letting any air out.
