Gellner balanced some motors for me in my old camaro, not the cheapest but VERY worth the price.

CAFE,

If you need any accessories, I have everything else you could possibly need. I gave up my 540 long blocks and have intakes, carbs, flame arrestors, distributors, valve covers, alternators...everything you could possibly need.

when i talked to them last year about some long blocks i found that they were bringing in china castings like scat/eagle and machining them in house to tolerence. Depending on how much power you want to make this might work for you. As far as their ability to build i'm not sure what their track record is for marine.
Personally, i would go for a better rotating assembly, as this is the most important part along with being assembled properly.
