Re: Shane Mahieu In hospital Critical condition
I spoke with Shane yesterday. He is home and doing well. He was in a lot of pain and needed rest. They took him off the heavy painkillers. He said he seems to have his ups and downs during the day but anything is better than being in the hospital. It seemed that the reality of what has just happened has set in. He is now on the road to recovery.

We are glad he is home that is a good sign. I would like the home adress also, I was afraid that what I sent would not make it to the hospital in time. Thanks Donna

Shane,
Congrats on making it out of the Hospital.
Believe me your gonna survive this and if you follow your Dr.'s instructions you'll be stronger than ever.
If you get bored while you're home and want to see/read my story go to: http://thestatus.com/index.cfm?fa=patient_login&sid=0
Patient: Shin
I.D. 38topgun
read the updates in chronological order and you'll be able to see that I had all your pain and more.
I am now 7+ months post emergency surgery and I am in the best shape of my life. My girlfriend Angela really saved me, but I owe much of it to my Boating friends too. All the same people that are pulling for you. In my case it was another boater (A Cig Owner No Less) who referred me to Dr. Cosgrove at the Cleveland Clinic in the first place. He also scored me a private room at one of the most celebrated Heart Centers in the world and really cleared the decks when I went in. But also all the guys like Nauti Kitty who took me on our first poker run in July to celebrate my recovery. And Plastered & Pero Grande who called me at the hospital everyday to cheer me up and say Hi. And all the other great Oso'ers who posted on my site. They are the ones who really help make my life great everyday.
Hang in there buddy you gonna make it,
Best,
Rice Hauler,
a.k.a. Robert Shin
