Re: My new to me Saber

I believe that Scott Bekin owned the very first 28 Saber and then had the first twin 28. Curt then purchased the twin from Scott.

The 34 is put away for the season. I should shout out a special thanks to The Wharf Marina in Grand Haven for taking the boat out of the rack a couple of times for sea trial, survey and year end maintenance. They treated me well in the past and they are off to a great start with this boat also.

You guys are correct.

No Excuses was WW's 28...

My first 28 Saber (hull #3), which I purchased from Scott Bekin, was the first twin 28...

Scott actually had the very first 28, a red Saber with a big single in it that he sold to a guy named Craig. The second 28 I think had twin outboards and was raced. Scott then had the 3rd 28 built with twin 454 mags...

I gotta get in all the abuse I can while there is still time. Tick Tock Tick Tock Too bad, I might not be able to go to sotw next year, huh Jerry?

Curt's boat was #3 out of the mold and he put on over 600 hours of some very rough running on that boat. I am sure I had at least a 100 in it with him. Any of you 28 owners ever want to know any pointers on driving a 28, Curt's your man. He ran that boat as good as anyone I have ever ridden with. :drink:
No small feat considering the waves it's been in.
WW's old 28 is still pristine and would make a nice ride for someone. Bill glad to hear you are going to be at the warf next summer.NK :drink:
