This really gets personal. All depends on power, how you're going to use it and gas availability (if you need 93 octane). I've got a Slingshot with a 200 gal tank. Every time I fill it, I double check the trim and tabs for the next hour because it takes the performance edge off (even with 800SC's). With stock power, a 344 with 140 gal capacity should work well between stops (read bars?).My only suggestion if you're thinking a new boat, is that new 344's are pricey. You could get a a nice, used Slingshot that would run better in the ocean for the price of a 344. As i said, this gets personal. You gotta buy what YOU want. Let us know how you make out.
