D or E load range tires -which do you like?
Need to put some new sneakers on the Suburban and wondering what you all have had good luck with. No towing until the Spring probably, so all highway driving with the occasional blizzard here and there. $85 bucks a tank these days with the price of diesel has me looking for something a little smoother on the road than the BFGoodrich TA All Terrains on there now. Good/bad advice appreciated.

I just bought a Chevy K3500. They said e range came on it, and i kept it that way. they were cheaper than the d range in a bigger size.
I bought 4-245/75/16 E-range All season coopers for $404 from discount tire out the door
AND they ride fine, not as rough as i thought they would be.

Talk to Mama Tried on this board. He sells tires for a living.

I'm going to order a set of Pro Comp All Terrains... as soon as a few people that owe me $ start paying up....
I've been a die hard BFG AT man... but I think I'll try these PCs..
I've heard good things about them.
Oh, and go "E". They won't roll over in the corners so much... and I'll bet you'll get better milage with them.. (stiffer, harder, less flex )

I have a set of Michelin XC-LT4 tires load range E on our truck. 76,000 trouble free miles and still not worn out.Cost over 700 dollars but still have a ways to go before wearing out. They are mud and snow tires but only been in the snow once. They do ok in mud though.Nothing like a true offroad tire but good enough for us.

Need to knoow how much weight you are towing too....
I'm currently running Cooper AT 285 x 16 D range tires on my Dodge. Love these tires for the price. $438 out the door. I tow about #7000 down the road with my boat loaded. Perhaps just a little more than that with a full load of fuel.
I've gotten about 12,000 miles on these tires since I had them mounted, and they are just barely showing any signes of wear. I rotate religiously though.

Re: D or E load range tires -which do you like?
neighbor is *****ing about the tire on his new King Ranch,One blew out, front left, and he thinks it's the tire is defective They are e load. Tire came off the rim and put him in the ditch and rolled ,although it was a little wet on that day. he paid 50,000. and insurance said they will pay 38,000. so he's real happy right now .I, feel bad for him ,but I really don't think it was the tires. And now he is wanting to sue any one he can ,glad he is not a Boater. The tool box flew out and looks like it saved him other wise I think IT would have crused him, when the tow truck pulled it out it all came in.
