High end cabinet maker/exotic veneer installer needed

Hey all. I recently purchaced a 51 Bertram. I need someone capable of trim carpentry with experience in installing veneer wood to cabinets.
The Bertram has teak cabinets & wainscot panel work. I want to change it to cherry.
I have materials readily available, I just need someone with the know how.
Here is the catch. The boat is land locked in Pittsburgh. It won't be in the water till the spring when I could easily run it to FL or anywhere inbetween but I want it finished in the next two months.
I will pay all expences to have someone load up their truck with all your tools, pay for your time, hotel and expertise to refinish the interior woodwork.
Post here, pm me, whatever. I can't find anyone out in the "Pitts" who knows how to work on anything.
Dave

There is a custom cabinet manufacture in Cold Spring NY. The shop is only 10 minutes from my house. I don’t know the name of the business but they do high end custom work. There shop employees old world craftsman that manufacture cabinets, desks, shelving, furniture, Etc. I seen there work and it was truly works of art. It was impressive to see woodworkers use micrometers. It seemed that everything that they made was architecturally designed and had a full set of blue prints to follow. I am sure that they are more than capable of handling the task. Unfortunately I don’t know the name of the company and there is no sign out front. All I can tell you is to call the Pizza/restaurant adjacent to there shop and ask them for the #. The restaurants name is "Papa Johns" (not affiliated with the franchise) In Cold Spring NY on Rt 9. I hope this might help.

If you had bought the boat 2 years ago!!!!!!!

I was living in Pittsburgh and that's what I did, custom cabinet/trim work on high end houses.
I'm now in Cincinnati working as a purchasing manager for an optical lab - go figure. No one out here was willing to pay for the type of work that I do.
Your offer is very very, tempting. I would love the chance to do this type of work on boats instead of houses.
Where abouts in Pittsburgh is the boat located?

I'm on my way to Key West in a few hours, but I'll be contemplating this the entire time I'm there.

DJD - if your at the OSO party friday night in KW look for me - we might be able to work something out.

I know an Amish guy who does the most incredible wood work I've ever seen. He probably wouldn't travel but would probably make everything. You'd most likely have to get someone else to install it...and he doesn't really respond to phone calls since he doesn't have a phone. But, I've found that he can make anything from a photo, drawing, verbal description, etc. He's in Ohio and I'm headed there with my girlfriend for Thanksgiving. We could go to the guy's place and deliver any scetches, etc. or call you on my cell from there and you could talk to him if interested.

He's cheap too.

I guess that would be difficult
I really need someone who can do it "on site"
How have you been Miller?

bouyhunter, keep it in mind. It would likely be a two week project.
