Foot Throttle Keep or Change ????

I have a 1990 26' Scarab CV that has a foot throttle. I can see for safty it might be good, but it makes it hard to idle down canals ( trying to stear and keep idle up not to stall). Well I have my eye on a few used Morse dual stick controls, do I keep the foot throtle or do dual sticks? Kyle

Re: Foot Throttle Keep or Change ????

I prefer sticks.

I used an L&S dual control foot throttle (stick or foot work at the same time
) in my outboard dragboats cause they require a foot throttle. I still used the stick.

I have a foot throttle in my 20' Cig. it is great for the rough stuff ,but I would prefer a hand throttle on the flat water.
