Indiana Jones wooden boat
Can anyone tell me the year/brand/model/manufacturer of the wooden boat used by Indiana Jones in Venice that was chewed up by the big propeller?

Re: Indiana Jones wooden boat
Seen it many times and wondered that myself. My bet is the one going under the prop was probably and empty shell. Still kinda a shame. :(

Here is one picture of the boats from The Last Crusade.
This was taken from one of the Goof-Up pages from the movie, showing a "wire" holding the bow in place. Not sure if you can see it in this picture since it was resized. |

Another showing the boat getting chopped up by the ships propeller.
In Venice as Indy's boat is being dragged into the big ship's screw the wooden hull breaks away - revealing that there is no motor in it, in fact there is nothing, it's just empty! When Indy and Elsa are coming to the end of the boat scene, one of the boats hits the propellers of the big ship and is "chewed up" to about mid-boat, in the next scene the hatch is not broken and miraculously back in place. |

The Boats name
The boat used in the movie is better known as the Venice taxi. Which the maker has stopped producing this model sadly. The boat's Maker is Rivarama. The model is the Classic Speed Boat.
