Beautiful boat! Since it's not in the NADA or Bluebook would it be considered a "custom" boat? are you able to get financing or insurance?

I guess "price on life" issue.

Re: Spy pics of the new Doug Wright 38
My guess would be the surveyor route would be the easiest for financing purposes until the line is established.

Re: Spy pics of the new Doug Wright 38
One thing to remember as well is the quality and type of materials that Doug puts into the 38. The hi temp airex coring used in the running surface alone is over $500 per sheet, which is a heck of a lot more than balsa. He also puts carbon fiber ribs on top of each stringer and around every opening in the bulkheads for additional rigidity which I haven't seen done by any other manufacturer. The running surface of each boat is also blueprinted before leaving his shop. Anyone who has followed the Dragon thread can appreciate the quality and innovation behind Craig and Doug's creations.

I will be looking to buy another catamaran shortly. Do you have pictures of this 38 or 32 in a pleasure version?

Post #53 of this thread shows a cad rendering of the poker run version which will have 4 seats. I think Popeyes is having one built with a removable canopy which should be interesting. I'm thinking about going that route myself. |

Hulk and Mapei just have flat dashes and no liner. Doug built the new dash and liner in anticipation of the 38 and because I didn't want a regular flat dash. As the canopy has the same width on both hulls the dash and liner made sense as its more efficient to do them in a mold as opposed to building them in place. |
