Re: Yup, We're Done.
Jim has to much class to name whoever did the donut deal.
I stopped to see if addiction needed help with his ride at the KW Poker Run while he was putputting back, all I could do is give them is a six pack of cold beers since they were dry!!! Does this count as caring??? :D |

Re: Yup, We're Done.
A cold six pack in that situation is caring in deed. :D

That reminds me of the time the president of NJPPC Dave P stopping for one of our members who had mechanical troubles on the Atlantic City Poker Run. He towed them back to the dock and called to have a Limo stocked with beverages meeting them when they got there. He really showed some class that day....... :drink: :drink: :drink: |
Re: Yup, We're Done.
I wish I knew who did the donut, too. And I wish that it didn't happen in my home port, cause I think it did.
While I have never personally met Jim, his incredible boat is only outshined by the obvious quality of his character. I have a really slow boat. I don't care. I'm a boater first and foremost. Canoe, launch, crusier, go fast, doesn't matter. But behavior matters. While I'm sure that we all respect their decision, I'm also sure that we all share the disappointment and the loss to our little community. I would like to see this thread be the start of a new era of respect on the water. I would also say that the people around here (my home port and OSO) have been awesome to me and my little crappy boat. Especially Glassdave and Tizbad, and a bunch of LEOPA guys. I need to join. I hear Dan is the man this year. I hope to meet you in person sometime, Jim. Boat or no boat. Best of luck with whatever you do. |

Re: Yup, We're Done.
i seam to remember a thread where someone was giving WW a hard time cuz he showed up in WW2 like he was ducking them or something :(
dont remember who it was but i thought , what an azzhole. its not about the boats or whos faster , ITS ABOUT FRIENDSHIP AND ENJOYING WHAT YOU HAVE!!!!! there are quite a few inconsiderate people on the water and in my experience its usually the guys with the most money in there rigs. money doesnt buy you class  |

I am sure the guy certainly forgot all about his boat while being taken to Atlantic City by a Limo. :drink: :drink: :drink: |
