Interesting boat, I'd love to know the history behind it!

It looks like it has all the goodies. The motors are supposed to be 600 cubic inches and 800 HP I think. 800's should get that speed.

I misread that. I thought 600 horse. Who bought the old NEXT top gun. Had 1000s stagerd with #5s. I rode in that boat once got to 96. I supose 92 running light is not beyond the relm.

I saw the boat back at a race in Baltimore back in 2000 or so. Seemed like a very nice piece at that time.

i know it says topgun but for some reason i think it's a flat deck cause of the fairing and where the gauges and steering is doesn't look of a topgun unless it was custom made

The "NEXT" Cig when Ben owned it did have all aluminum 580's that made just over 1000 hp on race gas. I believe his engines back then in 97 were built by Herb Stottler. I've been in the boat with him racing other boats around the Chicago, Lake Michigan area, and back in 97-98, I've seen 102-103 on the gps in the boat. That WAS the boat to beat back then if you were a V-bottom boat.
