They did a test in one of the magazines on this 720 hp version and all they had to do was retard the timing slightly. I don't remember how much but I think it was on 2-4 degrees. Motor ran fine and still made almost the same power.

This shouldn't be to suprising. Alot of engine builders set them up at 11:1 on pump fuel being 91 oct.

Now that's the proper use!

Maybe I should swap it for the 3.0liter in my BMW330i.

Ed my cousin has a 69 camaro already w/ the ZZ 502 for sale now, he is getting ready to put on ebay, red black stripes cowl hood and rally rims, in perfect shape. Let me know if you're interested...Rob

I just pulled out a very tired 468 inch BBC with 12.5:1 pop-tops.

Can you imagine that Beamer with that much power?
