    Re: 05 F250 work 5K more the 04 F250?

There is a pin backing out on a planet gear I beleive it is, that's been recalled. It's a ceretain run, but a few outside that run have had the problem too. But I think it only affects '04's

I have an 04 and 05 F350 dually. I prefer the 05 better. The ride is softer and handles as good. I think you can work the 05 price down another 1500.00 that would be the way I would go unless keeping longer 5 years, then it doesnt matter. Building composite fishing and pleasure catamarans.

Now, maybe you can get the 2004 for $5K less figuring a bunch of incentives and discounted selling price as they are trying to move them out. If this is why the price is different, I'd save the $5K and get the 2004. Not enough difference between the trucks in my eyes to warrant moving to a 2005, expecially for the F-250 Super Cab line.
Troutly, I never said the sticker was $5,000 different. BTW, the difference was not apples to apples. The dealer with the 2004 forgot a few minor details. As a result, we are very happy owners of a new 2005. (Hope the tranny stays together )

    Hi Guys,
just a fyi, as a family member of OSO i am a FORD MFG employee and can provide family/friends plan discounts...I believe its is a x-plan deal, factory family/friend discount..that you use at any auth FORD retailer. I do have a cap per year on these x-plans to family and friends so please only real buyers, looky-lues take up my quota but happy to help OSO family. Does't help much on super hot new models (new mustangs ) but all my friends have enjoyed some sort of discount.
Just get your best deal, then tell them you have family friends discount and I can shoot you a pin number...I have done one this year so I only have 4 left.
