Your right about DC, my buddy is an ABAP SAP programmer and found a job within a few days down there.... I have my resume out there on Monster, haven't gotten any calls as yet. Thanks for the advice!

I did forward a recommendation for you....
The powers that be are very slow moving....

I didn't realize that you had so much computer background... You'll probably make more money with your experience that to take a radical switch.

The job market here is Very tough. There are so many people living in FL that it is easy to find someone when you need to hire.... then once you have found that someone...you can find someone else to do the job for 20% less... It's the truth buddy...

FL is the land of small businesses.. You may be able to find a start up that needs your valueable experience.

Regardless, I'll check on the hiring situation here...

Tim G.,
Thanks for the update! As for the money, as we had spoken, I know it wouldn't be anywhere near what I was making. On the flip side, it's something that I would love doing. I got a nice package from my company and I'll be good for some time, the thought of doing something that I would love getting up every morning to, that has to account for something. Guess that's why a short term job like what your doing sounds so interesting. I'm looking at it as a trial run. If I REALLY enjoy it, then I'll be in a location where I can maybe find something else in the marine industry. If not, then I go back to what pays better, but isn't so enjoyable.

Thanks for all your help and confidence in providing me a recommendation! I really appreciate it!
