spectre vs spectra
was looking at a boat that was advertsied as a spectra when i questioned them they told me it was a spectre but spelled incorrectly...is there such as cat as a spectra

Spectre currently builds cats on the west coast of Florida by Jay Pilini. The Spectra, I believe, is a California built boat company. You'd have to do the research for more specifics. Ed

I saw that boat but its not a spectre (that one has a cabin)but I also saw one infront of extreme marine in miami (larry goldmans shop) that was hull and deck brand new with venezuela vins and has same lay out, they both look the same but this one has a cabin and the rear of the top deck Toward the motors is bigger.Hope this helps....

Spectre, as you are aware is the current builder out of Clearwater, Fl.
Spectra was a California based company in the 70's and early 80's I was told.
Jeffrey (of board fame) had one with 900hp and it was I think jet drive; he would know more.

this was a 2002 with 225's, right side drive and controls but it appeared to have an access door to a cabin
