Angry Orange Beach & Gulf Shores AL,Problems

I just received this Email from Powerboat Princess from Orange Beach and Gulf Shore Al..,Looks like the Insurance company's are doing what they do best making[ & saving] money .Sounds like after the hurricane the Insurance company's are not paying . Could you imagine still not having a place to live and this hanging over your head, Or your business or job [lively hood] gone

FeverMike Emailed me awhile back what the Government was doing by him , they where making the victims pay back the money that was given to them , Just think of all the money going over to Asia for free

I wish them the best and hope that they get it rebuilt back there.Good luck Robin with the offshore boat races this summer

Heres the email..........

It's a really sh!tty situation, with the insurance, government and the charities doing as little as possible to help. Once again, it shows where the limousine liberals like to see our money go---the poor asians, the crack babies, the welfare cases, but not decent folks on our own soil who were the victims of natural disaster.

There are a lot of folks getting nowhere with insurance and FEMA....My folks(and most of the people in their neighborhood) are still waiting to get a roof back on their home.

Re: Orange Beach & Gulf Shores AL,Problems

As sad as it is that's pretty much SOP after a storm. They just bulldozed a home in my neighborhood that was tied up in litigation after Georges in 1998. The owner and Ins Co. couldn't agree and the house sat with parts of the roof missing until there was not option but to tear it down.

I've heard they're having some problems with all the condo associations there having to make some rather large assesments (10K plus) to cover the insurance shortfall for condo complexes.

It blows but they'll still be dealing with it on the anniversary date.

Re: Orange Beach & Gulf Shores AL,Problems

Having spent almost 3 months in Pensacola starting 2 days after the storm I know first hand the level of destruction that has happened there. In all honesty it will take no less than a year just for the roofing companies to get back to normal. Then there is the complete reconstruction of some of the homes. I saw many many homes that there was nothing left to them at all... just a big pile of debry. I can only feel for the people that live there..
