does anyone know of a price on a new merc 496 ho less drive ?looking to possibly repower. only interested in this package.

Almost two years ago, I paid $9k for a new takeout on the crate that had the warranty initiated a few months prior(when boat was actually sold). I had a hard time finding another untill someone offered a brand new, still Merc wrapped, with unregistered warranty for $12K.

I just bought one a few weeks ago. My local Merc dealer was only about $300 more than any advertised price I saw so I went that route. I paid 13,170.

It wasn't worth a couple hundred bucks to travel, ship, deal with issues somewhere else.

Hey JR,

It's already in! I'm finishing up my steering system, reinstalling my interior, and a few other issues. I plan on starting testing in the beginning of March.
