Roll up cabin doors? Anyone have any info on them?
 

One of the huge hold ups for me with the boat is that I can not come up with a idea for the cabin door. The swing door that was in there was OK but dated for sure. Since I am going to such an extream with this do over I figured I wanted something different. I was talking to Stinson a while back and he had mentioned to me a roll up door but did not know who made one. Then the other day I was looking in the chief thread and saw what I assume is what he meant. Does anyone know what this thing looks like down? Also how it is made.

If all else fails you could check with Outerlimits. Here is a picture of an OL with a roll up door that somebody posted a while ago. I don't have any other info on it though.

Try getting a hold of Bobby at Chief he has put them in the 36's and has done at least one in a 41 Apache.

That style of door is known as a "tambor" door.

Wouldn't it be kind of a pain to have to reach down to the floor when ever you open and close it?

Unless it was electric and opened with a switch...
(just trying to make some extra work for you)

Damn Bill YOU SUCK..... Ok now we have to motorize it :rolleyes: :rolleyes: I just hate the way it is now. The door never really closes correctly and the thing can slam shut.
