Default Sarasota Boat hang-outs

Hi guys,

Looking to head down to Sarasota for an overnight with my friend from the Jersey Shaw. Since I'm a newbee to
Tampa, where is a good place to take the boat for an overnight? I am looking at the weekend of 3/18-3/20. Looking for a Marina with or without hotel accomidations. I'g go further into Ft. Meyers but not sure how long it would take and what the night-life is like. I keep my boat in the Clearwater area.

Thanx!

the Hyatt. Walking distance to downtown, cheap cab fare back if you're too drunk to walk.

Marina Jack if you don't need a hotel.

For sure the Hyatt in Sarasota, Marina, Bad a$$ pool, Tiki Bar (best mud slides ANYWHERE) , and the boat house restuarant/bar with all boat race pics. Give a call when you are down I may be out in my 24 and we can go to lunch on the water somewhere. 941-915-1447

Hope the friend is of the opposite sex
Hyatt is the place. Plenty places to go, Marvista for lunch, Casey Key, Sanibel & a ton of places.
You will find that the best boating IMHO starts at St Pete/Clw & southwards. Also several bars/ restaurants in the Tampabay area. Come to an OPBA meeting & join us guys on some of the runs.

Hey Ryan, finally got a new boat and will be needing some vinyl when I get some$$ saved up again.

Another view of the Hyatt.

Food is excellent at "the Boathouse", and the drinks are cold. It is an "offshore atmosphere" for sure.

[QUOTE=Speed2Lead]Johno,What do you have now?

Frank,
I went with a Fishboat with a high performance bimini ...just in case Cuda ever rides with us!
Bought a 29 Renegade with 250 Mercs. Kind of in between fish & sport. No rod holders on board. I wanted to go cat, however Momma had other intentions & insurance is very reasonable.So we hopefully have an all purpose type boat.
