Guys/gals, after 18 years in Maine, I FEEL YOUR PAIN.....

When I got into boating back in 91', that started the clock ticking on me "coming back home". In 95' after dealing with boat payments, storeage, etc. for 12 months and only boating for maybe three and a half or four if you count gloves etc., I made my mind up. In Nov. 96' I packed up everything and headed back to Sarasota.

I still miss a lot from up there, the changing of the leaves, hunting, and the lifelong friends I made, but man, the winters are just too much for me at this stage of my life.

At lunch today Johno kept saying how he could not understand the concept of living somewhere that you have to go scrape ice off your windshield, unfreeze your locks, shovel the walkway to get to your car, shovel out the car and the drive, and so on and so forth. The first year for me was really kind of a novelty. And the winters were fun in their own way. Going for a walk at one in the morning when it's extremely quiet and the snow coming down is something everyone should experience once.

Then the "boat bug" bit. And that was it for winters. And the rest, as they say, is sorrid history.

Thanks Rick,
Just wish Cuda would get the big yellow boat running so I can blow by him in a fishboat with bimini

Thanks Fred, you were as big as help as anyone in getting her up and running.

And I just love those tips. You were right, no flapper noise whatsoever. It's really not that much louder in the cockpit, well under 3500 anyway, but behind it:

NOW WE'RE TALKIN' BABY.....

How's the Sutphen coming along???? That's one bad boy I wanna hear.

Just how big of bilge pumps did you have put in that fishboat? That roostertail pumps a lot of water.

Just remember;

What did the monkey say when he got his tail cut off?

It won't be long now!!!!

I certainly hope not. It's wearing me out keeping track in the Formula Forum on your "302 'hour meter' ".
