Today's Run to Mar Vista
What a postcard perfect day. Brilliant sunshine, slight breese, and tons of boats out. I launched at the Nokomis boat ramp and it will be the LAST time there. Had trouble retrieving the boat because of "floating trailer syndrome" made worse by the current shoving it under the dock. What a PITA. From now on no matter what it's 10th St. for me. Anyway here some pictures.
First one is Outlaw idling at the Nokomis Ramp dock
Second is running north up the ICW
Third is docked at MarVista.
Nice OL docked next to me at MarVista and the white bow is Johno's new ride.

Next are fellow OPBA members, I believe Steve and Karma and their 28' Stinger.
Then the Intracoastal heading south under the "Swing Bridge" on Blackburn Point Rd. It's one of the 3 remaining swing bridges left in Florida.
Then the Casey Key Tiki Bar developers are trying to close to put up high rise mega dollar condos.

I was on the phone with Johno when you posted the pics. He said he wondered if you got back ok, because you should have had the pics up already. He's very happy with his new boat, he says the whole experience was positive from Renegade and Quickload, he said he couldn't be happier.

Re: Today's Run to Mar Vista
Had a bad case of "Floating Trailer Syndrome". To make it worse the current kept floating the trailer around the end of the short dock. Ended up two guys were nice enough to give me a hand, one keeping the trailer in place and one helping me keep the stern of the boat on correctly. It was a giant PITA. Then the guy after me loading up a 29 Sundancer had the same problem, so we helped him. All in all I spent almost two hours at the ramp loading Outlaw up and helping Sundancer guy. That's the last time I launch at Nokomis. I'm going up to 10th st. from now on. The ramps are just too good there not to make the drive. It's nice that the Nokomis ramp is so close, but it's basically for the 22 ft. guys. Boats 30 and over have a problem.
Plus when I got home Deb was on the computer doing some Ebay stuff. Got em up asap.
At lunch Johno kept us laughing our azzes off with "Cuda" stories.
