Once, and a big ass storm came up in the middle of the night. We were rafted off with three other boats and damn near sank. If I spend the night in the boat again, it's becasue I'm broke down.

I rode on a friends 38 scarab which is loaded and rode nice but the fun began when the sticks were pinned. I guess you cant ride all day like that. :D Now my powerplay can run circles around his boat but i dont have any creature comforts. Moral of this long winded story.. Going fast rules. :D Unless you can afford to have both. comfort + big power.

Hey Wild .... did you read that?

While we do sleep on our boat, we're docked, not anchored in open waters. I don't think I'd be too keen on being anchored out in the middle of the water or harbor area.

we have lots of protected bays and leeward sides of islands to anchor out at here. Drop two 20 lb. navy style gound tackles with 6' of 3/8" chain on 'em at at 45-60* to each other...you're going nowhere! Sleep like a baby. If you do get a hurricane (rare on the Canadian border), you'll wake up from getting tossed agaist the hull long before the anchorage is compromised! :D

We stay on the boat almost everytime we go out, we live a good hour or more from anywhere we boat so it makes sense. One of the things I like best about boating is we always stay some place different. I love the activity in the marinas, mornings on the water and of course the queen size bed in our floating cottage :D

Every weekend for us (around 50) even if it rains. Why stay at home and bit#h when I can be on the water with friends and a cold beer :drink: We stay on the hook most of the time in a quite cove. We did this in our 24 and our 29 before the 38, the wife and daughter like this a lot better. :D

nope, first, no place to lay down in my cat, second, the lake house is 100' from the water..... nothing like a nice shower and cable/internet after boating.... :D

A few years ago, I figured we'd like to do weekends, so I bought a cruiser. Never spent one night on it. Sold it and bought the 242. :evilb:
