Get the hypertech programmer and stop it from doing that, you can even change the shift points, the beast behind my truck we did that to, he can smoke the 44's all day long ..Mine has been clocked at 130+

Stock hitch is junk, read about failures on other forums. I ordered my truck without trailer tow on purpose because everything but the hitch is on the truck anyway, including 7 wire harness to the back. I did a Putnam XDR. Good guy price less than $200. It's one heavy duty sum'bi*tch. Check it out at Putnam's website. I went bananas on the mounting with big, thick backer plates top and bottom, double nutted and lock washered Gr. 8 3/4" bolts. Throw the hardware bag that comes with any of them under the bench for something else.

I did the Catch-All carpeted mats. Nicer appearance than the Husky's and VERY durable. They clean up like new with a good garden hose flushing when the need arises.

265's are the way to go. Still a safe section width on the 6.5" wide aluminum wheel, with no wheelwell/airdam clearance issues. Plus you only give up 4% in effective gear ratio...not 7% as you would with 285's. Bridgestone Dueler Revo! Read the reviews on other forums and the tire rack. Great all-around tire for our purposes! TOP quality constructed tire with a great ride, and outstanding in the wet! Now available in "E" load range.

While white is the "universal toy hauler color" and is easy to keep, the reds have impact (Victory especially) and are sought after resale too. You will kick yourself in the azz for getting anything darker. The most wonderful (no not you stecz) "easy to keep looking great" color I have had was the Pewter that is gone now...replaced by Sandstone which is IMHO, disgusting.

Leave the tune stock and just drive it for 5-10K. Skip the headaches and the $$$. Go with the safety, comfort, and appearance items first. You can always tune it up later.

Good luck man.

It's done!! I just got back from the dealership doing the credit and signing the paperwork. Big thanks to Kevin (OSO-gotherdone) at Winegardner Chevrolet!! I'm going to pick it up either tomorrow or monday. I'll post a pic then.
