Not necessarily, you can't give those things away. To do a decent repower you are looking at way more than the boat is ever gonna be worth.

That boat was in Yachttrader awhile back. They were asking 60,000 at that time and that included a old Kenworth and trailer. I think that someone bought it on speculation. Trying to make a fast buck. I don't think that you can give a gas powered Cary away right now. I was very close to buying a diesel Cary a few months ago, but decided I did not want to be a two boat owner again. It can make marraige very stressful.

Does anyone have more pics besides what I can find on yachtworld of these beauties? More links to specs or ads would be cool.
I picked up season one of Miami Vice, and one of the episodes features a boat race between a 50 Cary and Crockets CC Stinger(yes, he has a Chris Craft in the early years, and I loved the paint setup on it).

Diesels are the only way to go on a 50' Cary. Too much weight and beam for gas motors.

He HAD a stinger untill they refered to it as a ''Cigarette boat'' in one of the early episodes.

You're most likely 100% correct, but Go Fast Be Louds are a new breed to me. I grew up on Sportfishermen/Convertibles in the mid 30' range. Good family times. But I'm starting to get into the performance scene of things.

And I've got to admit, there is something seductive about the thought of being aboard one of these and cracking open 4 modded big block mills at once. Anyone have any experience???

Going back to the Miami Vice episode with the boat race, in the accountants office are large matted/framed photos of Offshore Powerboats. But very large, amazing quality work. Where can stuff like that be found?
