used 500efi's what are they worth ?
 

friend is thinking of repowering his boat . he has twin 05 500efi's with 80hrs on them , what are they worth minus drives ?

Probably around $26K or so for the pair. I just sold a pair of 2003 500EFI's (full dress, even headers) for $29K--they were like new with 60 hrs. on them.

Guess like a boat depends on what you can get, thre are 2 brand new 525's in the classifieds for 24.5k.

When I inquired about 500EFI's last fall, I was told you could not order the 500's. Maybe I misunderstood. But I don't believe 2005's were available.

I actually sold the motors to buy another house (with RV garage), but it didn't workout for me. I sold the EFI's for the rest of the downpayment I needed.
Now I have the 500 carb motors rebuilt....for alot less money!
I also made $1,000 on the deal, but I had some time involved, so I came out even.
