If it wasn't for the numb nutz that killed themselves running a cat for the first time, or the azzholes that bought the cat 's for a season, then arranged a stolen boat.
We would all have lower rates.

Sy..is it possible to get insurance to cover other people, other boats and property...just not cover your boat or people on your boat?

Try to get insurance on a crotch rocket. IF you can your looking at 5k insurance on a 10k bike At least the boat ins.is

He was hauling azz and hit a cruiser wake. Kited the boat and it landed on its ass then stuffed. The girl was tossed and he went up under the bow. I was hopeing that we would get there fast enough for me to tie a line to the bow and have brian tow the boat to shallow water but it was gone when we got there. Captain down with the ship. It was a very somber ride home for sure.

Take a look at a couple of the top boat builders in the industry trying to set records back and forth. Giving the impression that it's "ok" to go this fast in their brand of boats. Setting the bar higher & higher till something goes wrong, then what? How does this reflect on the boat insurance industry? I guess if the speeds keep going up, so will the insurance rates. It's too bad everybody has to take a hit. Just something to think about.
