Re: Hot Tops Marine drop out bolsters

I would look in the back section of Powerboat and Extreme Boats Magazines. There are several drop seat companies that advertise. How much are the ones you are looking at? The seat portion looks a bit thin (lack of padding)....and the vinyl work looks sub par compare to the ones I have seen and ordered. Just my .02

Re: Hot Tops Marine drop out bolsters

Just got some this month for the Formula. The vinyl and stitching are real nice and the place is good to deal with.

2 issues: They are very wide, I have a 40" waist (I know, I'm back at the gym ) and I have about 3 inches clearance in them. If you order you might want to ask that they be made narrower to hold better. I like to kind of push into a bolster for rough water.
The other thing is the latches for the bottom-basically 2 small pieces of tube that rotate to lock the seat up-they seem sturdy but a little primitive.

The welding on the frames is nice and the mounts are full length and seem real study.
Overall since they are about 1/2 what the nearest competitor wants they are a pretty good value.

BTW ask for the OSO discount-should save you a little scratch

Re: Hot Tops Marine drop out bolsters

Thanks for the help.
$1100 for the pair including bases.(this is 1/2 the cost of Don Frost or Twinn Marine.)
Its for my friends 28 magnum.
Tops out at approx 60mph, so he doesn't need aggressive padding.
I appreciate the comment on width.

Anyone else.

they used to be "hot pursuit" i bought a pair whenteh company was on eth east coast of florida under a diff name. I believe the two partners split ways and one is now making them again under a new yet similar name. QUality is decent. for eth price they are very good. Certinaly no mcleod bolster though

Stormrider

If I was going to put a new interior there would be only one place. These seats are super strong and have no wood whatsoever to rot.
They make different types of seats too so give them a call..

Titan, the seats need to be drop out/stand ups.
Can they build them?
