Tank it was probably the reflection off your bald head. They thought it was a navigational aid

Don't they have any big tugs in the area? Pull it back to sea and hope it stays afloat long enough to get some crash pumps in??

I don't know what they are doing (or not doing). There are large tug boats about 2 miles south of channel Islands harbor at Port Hueneme Navel harbor. My neighbor brought up a good point though. I'm sure the insurance companies are haggling with owners and the state/coast guard/ local harbor patorl etc etc. about how to get it off. It's not that easy of a job I wouldn't think. Someone's got to get on that thing and secure a few lines. So who's going to make the call that someone might get killed trying to un-beach this boat? The water was calm this a.m. though and the tide was high so maybe they'll get it off today.

Check the link to the video of the news report. Check the images...at one point, they have a line on it, but looks like they dont have enough power to pull it through the surf...

Get in your new Cig, tie a rope around that dang thing and get it out of there......oh yeah. It's a Cig and it's raining. Should I bring my Formula up and do it?

Your Formula would have to be running first! Don't hate 'cause you're a closet Cig lover. Cig envy doesn't look good on you Nort!
