It's NEVER big enough !!!!!!! I just built mine 32' wide ad 48' deep, and the boat ( 38' Scarab ) filled one side quick and the rest filled up just as fast. Already need more space

Re: need advice on garage size
Not really close to being big enough! You have to do as big as you can do...it is more important than the house!

100x200 ought to do it. Just be sure you leave room for expansion. :drink:

Re: need advice on garage size
40x60 is a great size to build.

Re: need advice on garage size
Big is Good, Bigger is Better.
In Fl you may want to have a strorage shed for the boat. Taxes on a shed might be cheaper. Sometimes, I don't like all my eggs in one basket, as fire would wipe out everything and it is harder to heat and cool. Much of that depends on your lot size and access and womans input. Just make sure you make it really big. Incremental square footage is cheap. Adding on is expensive. |
Re: need advice on garage size
My 38' would actually fit in an 8' door, but I put 9' doors for plenty of clearance. It can also depend on the trailer how high it sits.I would go a min. 9 foot.

Re: need advice on garage size
Go as big as you can afford or the law will allow. I've never built one that was big enough yet :(
