When I lost a blade a felt like I had broken a motor mount or something, the vibration was un real. I knew I didnt hit anything so I called the guy who rigged my boat and described what was going on, I had already pulled my boat out of the water and never noticed that a blade was missing until he told me to check my prop. Mercury had some problems a couple of years back with props loosing blades, they still wouldn't warranty it though. Good luck getting them to warranty a used prop........

Same principle smaller scale, I had a Jet ski the stand up type back in 1993 highly modified, anyway motor blew up and I mean blew up and out, right side cowling shattered fiberglass clean through. Now that will get your attention

I had my X2(one of the original ski's for those that have never heard of one) blow the top of a spark plug through the side of hull. I had just rebuilt it and put on a new carb, guess I was running it lean or my deck height on my head was wrong, either way it never ran right again after that. That thing sat in my yard for about five years before I finally gave it away.......Thats when the phrase "two best days owning a boat" became reality for me.

Ask Al Copeland.

He put a turbine thru the bottom of a Skater.

It melted its way thru.
