Default anyone in the offset printing biz

my uncle passed away not that long ago. he and my aunt had a small printing biz in a 1000sq ft office. its located in Windsor NJ and she is looking to sell the biz as a whole or possibly sell all the equipment. i dont know anything about the biz. she's asking $95k for the biz. if anyones interested or could assist me in assisting my aunt it would be deeply appreciated.

You can give me a ring Bern, but that sounds way different than what we do here. There are over 100,000 printers in the US, unfortunately trying to sell one of those businesses is as bad (or worse) than selling a performance boat right now. The best bet would be to find a local competitor that wants the account list/equipment.

I would think alternate technologies. I know we used to use off set printing constantly for scales on meters, until lasers and other means came out. Now I can print just one, in about 30 seconds with no mess or clean up. Offset only makes sense for large runs now, at least for our application.

A well run printing busines can be profitable....the problem is selling one. There are too many companies out there and a number of them are losing money. If you're considering buying a printing company you'd have to pay top dollar for mine.....or, go find one of my competitors that are doing poorly whose owner just wants to sell and get out. (Kinda like boats in that once you pick the model you want, you can usually find someone who needs to sell worse than you need to buy. This is why some of these boats (or companies) are being sold alot cheaper than you would think they're worth).

BTW: contact Bern....you would be a better source of information for him than I would be.
