Tampabay is packed with places both south & north. All depends what you are into. Sheperds on Clearwater Pass gets real crazy on the weekends.Honestly there are so many places you can go. Sarasota & south of it has some of the best water & boating facilities in Florida. Come do the next Poker Run, $150-00 entry & you'll get to see a little of what this area has to offer. John |
Re: Boating In Florida
You could also trailer up the coast to Stuart, and travel the OkochoobeeWaterway. It includes five locks you have to pass through. I've done it twice and loved it. Halfway across, just on the western side of "the Lake" is Rolan Martin's Marina. Great stopover place. Just make sure all the locks are operating. Once in a while one will go down for repairs. You will see "Old Florida" at it's "oldest". A fabulous trip.
