Question Help!! might have bought the wrong prop!!

I just bought a mirage 25p rh from a place out of florida off the net, it's a nice prop for a fair price. Well i put it on the drive today ('90 bravo one) and it doesn't slide all the way on. The back of it is different than my 23p mirage. It's like the thrust washer is wrong for the new prop. The hubs are a little different on the props. Here are the part numbers of the props: 48-13248-25 (which does not slide all the way on).
48-13704-23, fits fine with current thrust washer. Did i buy an incompatible prop, or do i just need to go buy a different five dollar thrust washer, i have tomorrow to send the prop back if it won't work, so hopefully i get some answers. thanks

make sure you have the thrust washer on the right way witht he wide side of the beveled hole facing in. also the new flow-torque hubs have to be torqued down once to seat the hub in the prop, trying tightening it to spec 55FTLBS I think, and then see how it looks.

tightening it isn't the problem, the thick washer that goes on top of the prop before the nut is supposed to be on a little bit of spline yet, it isn't even close, anyone else have the answer?? i think the key is the difference between partnumbers........

does the prop use a plastic hub and then a brass insert that goes around the prop shaft and into the hub?

Can you post a picture of the thrust washer being used? And the rest for that matter?

If I understand it, you are saying that the flat spline washer under the hut no longer fits right? That spline washer does not get used with the new plastic hub design just the brass insert than a tab washer and the nut. like fountian siad a picture would help alot.

The correct part number for your thrust washer should be 12-835467-5. See if your washer is the same. If not you need to get the correct one. Also those older Mirage props had a solid hub. The nut that catches the splines at the top of it wont work for you. If you have an older style Bravo 1 prop you will need the hub that slides in from the back with the long insert, hub part number 850821-1 with the insert 826074. If you have the newer style Bravo 1 with the torque flow hub all you will need is the the thrust washer part number 12-835467-5 and the insert part number 826074. Of course with both you will need the metal ring and the locknut. I'll post you a couple of pictures as soon as I figure out how to resive them on this new computer.

heres a picture of the parts, as I said if you have the newer torque flow hub than you dont need the hub just the insert and thrust washer.

the big piece in the middle is for high HP apps and are usually only used with B1 props with your mirage you should have a cone shaped plastic insert that goes in the prop.
