from what i understand you use the 5 or 6 bladers with a real high x dim........the extra blades give the prop bite when its half out of the water.......low X (like my boat) 3 bladers......at least there cheap!!!!! ..................doug

I did see gains but also added a 700 hp 540 to the mix.
My propshaft is 5.25" below the keel with the shortie.
According to Throttle Up, I could pick up another 3 mph if I went up one more inch.

is your boat a 26 prowler?

i put a 2 " shortie on one and picked up almost 6 m.p.h., overthe stock case. i slao put one on a 27 activator, along with 6 blade herring and it too picked up significantly.i would say leave the transom alone , use the shortie, lower engine hieght translates into better C.G .

Imco sells an extension box that wil raise your x by three inches with the same transom hole. You will need to raise the engine though. 12" setback also.
