Hillbilly,
I agree..too many letters without words going around now a days..
Bad,
I have not layed eyes on one of the new XR's yet.. so they may be right. Not sure why they would go back to the smaller Ujoint though? I'll do a some checking on that..

From what I was told they said the drive never fails at the U joints, so there for they dont need to be so oversized, they are still bigger than the stock Bravo but they fit inside the belows the same. I guess the biggest difference is the length. As far as the bearing, if you have the bearing with the red dot on the back side of it you can use any of the new drives. My bearing doesn't, I looked, so I'll get a three jaw slide hammer and yank that thing out of there.
I think I'm going to order a drive from Stern Drive Connection. Any one ever buy anything from them? 5700.00 for a Bravo Xr with a new top and remanned lower. I plan on buying an Imco lower anyways in the future and replacing it so that part doesn't bother me. The top is what usually fails anyways. I'll also order a billet cap with the shower built into it.
Maybe I can have you (Mr. Gadjets) put me together an Imco lower in the near future. Let me buy the drive now and when I get some more disposable income I'll finish it..

If your looking for a new drive I would strongly recommend calling Max Machine Worx in Lake Havasu.I havent had any problems with mine at all.140hrs on drive in a 26' cat.
