Default Prop install / assembly

When I went to change my props, I noticed the 3 blade uses different hardware than the 4 blade that was on there.

Here is the 3 blade. I just don't know where this hub goes, and if it is inserted in the front of the prop, is there a specific way it goes in.

Here is the 4 blade. It had this hub assembly that was put in the back of the prop.

Lastly, the thin metallic tab that gets put on before the prop nut, one of the small tabs broke off. Can this be used w/ just 2 of the tabs? even temporarily?

Hey Storm,
Your 3 blade looks to have a pressed in rubber hub and the 4 blade has the newer style insert.
Be sure to use a thrust washer behind either.
Yes you can use the locking devise with a tab missing. It really only requires that you bend one tab to prevent rotation...
