I have high oil pressure in my 1989 350 mag now I know its an old motor with alot of hours so what should I check it runs at 75lbs when idling but then drops to about 40lbs when running...what should I check? I have a remote oil filter if that matters I am running 20 50 oil thanks

Is this a new problem.

I had the same thing happening with my oil psi and the engine had the wrong sensor on it. It was working in reverse.
