Default HARLEY 1995 Ultra Classic-Dropped valve

Anyone familiar with 80ci motor? Bike shop said I dropped a valve in the rear head. Will need a new head and bore job.

Anyone know how messy ($$$) for something like this?

I'm not much of a mechanic.

Thank you, Dave

Probably in the 1500.00 to 1800.00 range if your mechanic is fair with you, (new pistons/rings/gasket set and should be able to find you a used head fairly reasonable.)
Fairly easy job should be able to do it in an afternoon at a decent shop.

It's hopeless. The bike is totally destroyed and will never be the same. Come time to sell it, the bike will have little value as the numbers will no longer match. I'll stop by tonight to take it off your hands and to ensure it meets it's rightful end.

just buy one of those small 2600cc vance and hines screaming eagle motors that don't have any screaming eale components in them...then you can kick but on all the 1300cc jap bikes. harley also make good power on nitro...
