BRAVO I Gimbal Bearing Grease Fitting ???
This may have been asked before, but it did not jump out in the archives.
Anyway, I have been looking for the grease fitting to grease the Gimbal bearing on my Bravo I (7.4 L Engine). I cannot seem to locate it. It is supposed to be outside the boat on the transom mounting plate, either center top or starboard side. Could it be possible that is is recessed or something.
The engine/drive is a 1991 model 7.4 L/Bravo 1
Any assistance on the exact fitting location would be greatly appreciated.

Re: BRAVO I Gimbal Bearing Grease Fitting ???
It should be on the starboard side of the gimble ring and usually has a small plastic cap over it. Also, if your not aware, there are two grease fittings on the universal joints and you have to pull the drive to get at them, pretty simple task. There are also two grease fittings on the coupler which is directly behind the engine, not easy to get at. Also two grease zerk fittings on the steering in the engine compartment as well. Think that covers it.... Good luck!!!
