Default which degree fitting should i use???

-12's off of the port side KE bell housing oil cooler . i have a vertical hp6 on the front port of the engine , about to order fittings . i am thinking that 90 degree will work for the upper and lower since i'm running them forward , i am going to mount my remote thermostat on a bracket off of the lower bolt at the motor mount. 90 degree or 120 degree to make the sweep forward ??? ,thanks...

Straight is best, 45 is second choice, 90's are your last choice. 90's disrupt oil flow and cause cavitation of oil.

The swept type fittings are best for oil service, but as cstraub says, less angle is better, or something like that.

Only use the bent style style of fittings. They flow dramatically better than the forged ones. It's makes ordering parts pretty easy too as you only need straight AN to NPT adapters.

I would use straights and 45's as much as possible. Only use a 90 when it is not possible to use anything else. Wobble good pictures, yes the tube bent only when running oil lines.
