Prop Shaft Sizes Bravo 1 - XR
Is the XR and a Bravo 1 the same shaft? I have a prop for sale a prospective buyer has a XR drive with a 1 1/4" shaft. The prop came from my Bravo. Will it work?

Thanks
Unfortunately for me and him, it's is a Hydro.
The interchangeable hub you speak of, is that called a Mercury flo-torq hub?

If the prop is a Hydromotive and was manufactured in the past 18 months it should have the square bore, Flo Torque 2 compatible. If it was manufactured more than 18 months ago the hub is probably welded in with the 15 spline hub. There is a remote possibility it may have a rubber hub pressed in to it, in which case the rubber hub can be pressed out.
The welded 15 spline hub can be changed to the larger XR 1 1/4" shaft. The old hub is machined out and the new one is welded in.
If you have any questions please call. The cost is about $150 and that includes the new hub.

Thanks for the info guys. It is an older 26p Hydromotive with a welded hub.
I had seen a prop with a square hole in it, but wasn't sure if that was what they call Mercury flo-torq hub.
