Mercury Racing Oil T-Stat Filter Mount

Does anyone know the position, in relationship of the oil flow, of the auxillary ports on the Mercury Racing Oil T-Stat Filter Mount? Trying to confirm at what point I am measuring oil temp on this block. It looks like I am reading return temps after the cooler. Where plug #2 goes into the block, on the attached drawing, is where my temp sender is located.
I am wondering if this is pre-cooler or post-cooler oil flow.
Anyone know for sure?
