Default HEI ignition

Is the distributor on a 2000 502MAG MPI an HEI?
It looks the part and has the 4 and 2 connectors.

I would like to hook it up on a Holley Commander 950 ECM as shown on page 105 or 106 in these instructions. Has anyone tried this.

Default Re: HEI ignition

That is the Delco EST (Electronic Spark Timing) distributor. It is HEI. It can operate on the advance curve in the under cap ignition module or use the timing signal from the ECM.

Don't know anything the Holley ECM. Would like to hear how it works out.
