Engine Oil smells like HELP!!
I had a carb problem and flooded the engine out a # of times while I was trying to figure out the problem. How much oil does it t ake to get that smell in the oil? How can you tell if an intake port is leaking fuel into the lifter valley? The two holes under the carb seem to be filled with emulsified gas as well. i talked to Edelbrock and they said these two holes were for and AC bracket. 350 vortec with and airgap intake using stock GM intake manifold gaskets.
Thanks,
Ken

Re: Engine Oil smells like HELP!!
Carb is fixed. It is a Weber off a 454 mag. I know I need to change the jets but I was wondering if it was possible that the intake manifold could also be leaking fuel into the oil.

does your fuel pump bolt onto the block or onto the water pump assembly?
If you have a bad fuel pump and the pump bolts up to the block you could be getting fuel in the oil that way.
