So if you run the discharge thru the headers, does this mean they are sometimes running dry? Do they run like this anyways with the stock 454 thermo housing (the 2 small lines run to my Lightnings)?

No they never run dry the dischrge contantly flows water wether the stat is open or closed, that's the point on the whole deal. The exhuast needs water all the time and the engine only needs it some of the time(it always needs water in it, it just doesn't always need to be flowing)

Damn, now my head is spinning. Will run it by my engine guy, see what he thinks.

Those clamps are pretty kewl, never seen those before.
