31 Ultimate Warlock.... Saw this not long ago when I was in that area looking at another boat... Didn't look at it too closely, but from what I saw, it looks like one hell of a deal....

Used to have one with 525SCs. Ran right about 100mph.
Fairly large cabin. It stayed on top of the 2-3' irregular waves at lake of the ozarks at around 75mph easily. That was the key to a good ride, keep at speed and packing air under it.
It's a heavier boat than a 31 AO, so the ride may be a little better.
Very solid, good design, and affordable. Just stay clear of SSM II boats. Drives parts are getting scarce.

What about the Superboat? I have heard good things about that and the cabin is decent.

If I was putting a cat on Lake Huron I'd be looking for an old 39 Ocean Express. Long, wide and heavy.

Is that bottom an original design? I think I've seen it before. Apache Cat maybe?

Lake Huron???? OUCH!!!! Ran a 32 active thunder cat in the lake huron poker run some years back. That lake gets stupid big rollers north to south on it. Probably the most unpleasant boating experience of my life. Fred Kiekafer ran beside us in his 42 McManus V all morning watching us air out the active. He walked over to us at the lunch stop and said we were friggin crazy tryin to run that water in that size cat. Up until then, I thought it was a decent sized boat. After that day, I knew Fred was right.
