I have been told not to use syn. oil with a roller cam , due to the slick ness of the oil the rollers will slide over the lobes instead of roll. But I am sure there are guys out there that have been using it, and have not had a problem. Use what works best for you. But a big blower motor with out a roller cam go for it.

Lot's of conflicting information out there.... but almost 99% of all new motors have roller cams, including OEM so I would guess we would be seeing a lot more failures if the roller issue was true... but I'm no scientist or chemist...
