Re: Intercooler parts/plumbing
I also had to lengthen the T on top of the thermostat housing so the hoses to the headers could be reused and for the breathers going to the air screens I slowly drilled out the welds not to go threw the top of air screen but just to remove the hose fittings and then I installed them on the bottom with some stainless screws with sealant on top so they would not back out or come loose! OH YEAH,DO NOT USE THE WATER PUMP TO SUPPLY THE COOLER ,IT WILL CAUSE THE FUEL TO PUDDLE AT IDLE AND IN NO WAKE ZONES WHICH WILL CAUSE THE ENGINE TO RUN REAL ROUGH,RICH AND WILL HAVE AN ERRATIC IDLE AS IF A SURGE!SHIFTING YOUR BOAT DURING THIS BECOMES A REAL PAIN BECAUSE YOU HAVE TO WAIT TILL THE RPM DROPS OR YOULL DAMAGE THE DRIVE!
