"Hammerhead" makes an excellent product for use on stainless or aluminum. Even works well on stubborn stains on your fiberglass hull. (but you will have to re-wax) --- Jer

Throttle Up Propellers Manufacturer
Re: props tarnished/key west water?

This is very common for Key West. There are a couple different ways to remove the white coating.

The quickest way is to use muriatic acid, just pour it on and rinse if off. You can also use some of those house cleaners like CLR but they work slowly.

ON/Off is muriatic acid. If your going to use that...go to a harware store & buy a gallon of it. ALOT cheaper. Carefully put it in a spray bottle & try not to breathe in the fumes. Eventually the spray mechanism will deterioate.
